Community Guidelines

Last updated: 18 July 2026

The spirit of it

Petverse is for dog people helping dog people. Keep it kind, keep it honest, and keep it safe for the dogs. These guidelines cover the community, anything you post, and how you use Pet Pal and the voice features. They sit alongside our Terms of Service, and where the two ever disagree, the Terms govern.

1. Who this applies to

These guidelines apply to everyone who uses Petverse: when you post or reply in the community, share a place or a playdate, upload photos, invite caregivers, or talk to Pet Pal by voice or text. If you invite others to help care for your dog, you are responsible for making sure they follow these rules too.

2. Be kind and respectful

Do not:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate other people.
  • Post hateful content, or attack anyone over race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or similar.
  • Impersonate another person, another user, or Petverse itself.
  • Share someone else's private information without their permission.

3. Keep content lawful and yours

  • Only post content you own or have the right to share.
  • Do not upload anything illegal, infringing, or that breaks someone else's rights.
  • Do not post sexual content, graphic violence, or content that exploits or endangers a minor.
  • Do not use Petverse to advertise, sell, or run a scam.

4. Keep it safe for the animals

Petverse exists to help dogs live better. Content that shows or encourages animal cruelty, neglect, illegal breeding, or dangerous practices is not welcome and will be removed. Sharing a hard moment honestly, an injury, an illness, a vet incident, so other owners can learn from it, is completely fine. Glorifying harm is not.

5. Use AI responsibly

Pet Pal and the voice features are here to help you care for your dog. Please:

  • Do not try to jailbreak, trick, or misuse the AI to produce harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
  • Do not feed it other people's personal data that you have no right to share.
  • Remember that AI answers are general information, not veterinary advice. For anything medical or urgent, call a vet.

We may review flagged content, including messages to the AI, to keep the service safe and to enforce these rules. See our Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

6. Do not abuse the platform

  • Do not scrape, mirror, or systematically extract data from Petverse.
  • Do not send spam or unsolicited messages.
  • Do not try to bypass rate limits, authentication, row-level security, or any other technical protection.
  • Do not interfere with, probe, or disrupt the service or the infrastructure running it.

7. Reporting and enforcement

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it in the app where you can, or email hello@petverseapp.com.

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, issue a warning, limit features, or suspend or terminate an account, with or without notice. If you think we got it wrong, reply to us and we will take another look.

8. How these guidelines relate to the Terms

These Community Guidelines form part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. They add detail to the acceptable-use rules there. Where anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms take precedence.
